Alley_1Allie Shook is the new president of Discover Plymouth, the city’s Main Street program.

Alley_2While many of you may have been involved recently in Discover Plymouth events such as the Dine Around or Downtown Tractor Show, Discover Plymouth has been working on other projects that were the result of the Active Living Workshop that was held last year in September.

Recently members and volunteers donated some time to do an alley clean-up project.  In roughly an hour they were able to clean the alley between Yolanda’s and Wild Rose Moon.  They also started work on the lot next to Got Game.

Alley_3Keegan Campbell, who’s a part of Discover Plymouth’s Economic Restructuring committee, offered some equipment to help with the removal of the piles of old mulch and dirt from the corner lot.   He also thinks they may be able to spray paint the bike racks free or for a minimal cost.

Alley_4Shook encourages people to take a stroll down the alley and check out the “splatter art” that was made by the public during the Art in the Street event in June.
