County BuildingThe Marshall County Commissioners will hold their first meeting of August on Monday the 7th beginning at 8:30 in the morning.  The meeting will be held in their second floor meeting room of the County Building.

Agenda for the meeting includes County EMA Director Clyde Avery with the request for a promulgation letter of the Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan (CEMP).  He is also requesting permission to apply for the 2017 SHSP (State Homeland Security Program) grant and 2017 EMPG (Emergency Management Performance Grant) training exercise grant request.

Plymouth Mayor Mark Senter will be seeking permission from the Commissioners to name the South Michigan Street Bridge over the Yellow River as a memorial to Tom Chamberlin, former police chief, sheriff and commissioner.

Peter Gyerko will discuss the water drains on Holm Lake Road while Doug Masterson from the county’s maintenance department will discuss another bid for an emergency generator at the county highway department.

The County Commissioners will consider on third reading the ordinance establishing new fees for the County Health Department and the ordinance establishing a Well Installation and Maintenance ordinance.  Christine Stinson from the Health Department will also suggest the demolition of the Ramey House due to it being determined an unsafe building.

Other agenda items include Billy Martin with a water drainage issue on 4th Road, the County Attorney report, Auditor’s report and commissioner items.
