A person driving on King Road Thursday afternoon about 2:30 saw some smoke coming from the back of a single story house at 10548 King Road. They called 911 and the Plymouth Fire Department responded in just a few minutes.
By the time the fire department arrived on the scene flames were beginning to come through the roof of the garage. Within minutes the roof of the garage collapsed as the fire continued to spread through the roof system especially along the back of the home.
Plymouth Fire Chief Rod Miller asked for tankers from Argos and Bourbon to assist with transporting water from the city’s east side out to the blaze.
Fire fighters were on the scene for about three hours and no injuries were reported. At this time the fire is under investigation and a cause has not been determined.
According to the Marshall County GIS the home is owned by John and Arielle Montgomery.
