Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Joe Donnelly released the following statement Wednesday evening after the Department of Justice appointed former-FBI director Robert Mueller as special counsel to oversee the investigation into Russia’s efforts to interfere in our election.
Donnelly said, “I am pleased to hear that the Department of Justice has named a special counsel to lead a comprehensive investigation into Russian interference in our election. Hoosiers deserve answers, and I am sure that Mr. Mueller will follow the facts wherever they lead.”
