isp_LOGOOn Wednesday, May 3rd, the Indiana State Police pulled a vehicle over in Marshall County near LaPaz.  During the traffic stop the Plymouth Police Department K-9 assisted.  An investigation revealed methamphetamines, a handgun, scales and other drug paraphernalia located inside the vehicle.

The driver 32 year old Latisha Nies-Scott was arrested for dealing methamphetamines over 5 grams with a firearm and transported to the Marshall County Jail.

A search warrant was obtained for her residence in Oscoela.  The Indiana State Police served the search warrant on the residence and a child along with another male subject were located.  The male subject Christopher Cavender of Rochester Indiana was found to be in possession of methamphetamines and arrested.  Further methamphetamines, scales, handgun, and paraphernalia were located inside the residence.  The St. Joseph County Child Protective Service was called and took custody of the child.
