Community Corrections_Substance Abuse graduationCommunity Corrections Director Ward Byers and Sheriff Matt Hassel are pleased to announce the graduation of Jail Inmates, Sherina Bottorff, Emily Finchum and Michelle Watkins from the Substance Abuse Education Program in the Jail.

Marshall County Community Corrections has provided Substance Abuse Education classes in the County Jail for several years. Community Corrections recently received additional grant funding to extend services to inmates in the Marshall County Jail by the Bowen Center. The cognitive evidence based services are aimed at reducing recidivism and providing the inmates with the tools needed to make positive changes in their lives.

“The programming Community Corrections provide to jail inmates are vital towards reducing recidivism in our community” said Sheriff Matt Hassel.
