NewsA 28-year old woman has been sentenced in the fatal Marshall County crash that left two dead in May.

Monica Sanders of Goshen is now sentenced for fleeing the scene of an accident resulting in death.

MugShot_Monica SandersSanders, the driver of an SUV, rear-ended a car on Plymouth-Laporte Trail in the early morning hours of May 15th.

Four people were in the car, including victims 24-year-old Paul Graham and his passenger Jostiana Bouskill. The other two passengers were taken to the hospital for injuries.

Sanders was charged in May with two counts of failing to remain at the scene of an accident that resulted in the death of a person.

Sanders did not have a driver’s license at the time of the accident.

She turned herself into the authorities the day after the crash.

Sanders will serve a 4.5 year sentence at the Indiana Department of Corrections facility. She is required to serve 75% of that time before being released.
