A union representative with Illinois license plates was in front of Pretzels Inc. on Oak Drive north of Loves Truck Stop Friday with a large sign and giant blowup rat in protest against one of the subcontractors on the project.
The International Union of Operating Engineers Local 150 is asking the public to take notice of NU Insulation Inc. who is using rental equipment from MacAllister Machinery, Inc.
Local 150 is “bannering” against the subcontractor at the Plymouth factory due to the fact they are on strike against MacAllister Machinery for an ongoing labor dispute for unfair labor practices.
While they are “bannering” they are only asking the general public to not patronize NU Insulation Inc. or MacAllister Machinery, Inc.
This protest has absolutely nothing to do with Pretzels Inc. but with the subcontractor’s use of rental equipment from MacAllister.
