The Auto Park on East Jefferson Street in Plymouth was a very busy place Saturday morning for the 8th annual Turkey Give-away. People started lining up at 7:30 to grab a Thanksgiving turkey for their family.
Five pick-up trucks filled to the top with frozen turkeys sat in the parking lot and all you had to do was just show up and pick up a free turkey. There were no questions asked, no names taken and no car sales happening, just the Auto Park family helping the community.
In all, it was estimated that more than 700 turkeys were give out in less than 90 minutes.
The South Bend Medical Foundation was on hand with their mobile unit accepting blood donations that will be used right here in Marshall County. Anyone who donated blood was able to get their turkey without waiting in line.
Martin’s Supermarket donated dozens and dozens of cookies and hot chocolate for visitors on Saturday too.
