atm-skimming-devicePlymouth Police are investigating a skimmer device located in a 1st Source Bank ATM.

On Sunday, September 11th city police were contacted in reference to a skimmer device found in the ATM machine located on Pilgrim Lane.

ATM Skimming involves the attachment of electronic devices on or around the ATM for the purposes of capturing both the magnetic strip data contained on the back of a debit-card as well as the PIN number that is entered by the customer when using the ATM

It is unknown how long the device was in use before it was discovered.

Plymouth Police recommend all persons who have used the 1st Source Bank ATM on Pilgrim Lane recently to keep watch on their accounts.
