Wednesday evening 44 year old Angelica Mercado of Plymouth was traveling north-west on Plymouth-Laporte Trail, just east of West County Line Road when she was involved in a crash.
Just before 11 p.m. the 2015 Chevy Malibu she was driving struck a large tree that had fallen across the roadway in a curve. Mercado was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
The Marshall County Police Department was assisted at the scene of the collision by Polk Township Fire, Walkerton EMS, Walkerton Police Department, and the Marshall County Highway Department.
