In fact, if every home in the United States switched out just one incandescent bulb for an ENERGY STAR LED light bulb, the energy savings would cover the cost of lighting thirty-two million homes for a year, or about $8.5 billion in annual electricity costs.
Not only do ENERGY STAR LED bulbs use less energy, they also last a lot longer and require less changing. That’s why Marshall County REMC is offering rebates for ENERGY STAR LED light bulbs. You can earn up to a $7.50 rebate when you buy an ENERGY STAR LED light bulb, up to 25 bulbs per year. Just hang onto your receipts and send them off with a lighting application, and you’ll get a check in return.
