This year, in celebrating Indiana’s Bicentennial, Encore Performing Arts is partnering with the Museum to remember the historic works of Indiana composer, Cole Porter.
“Cole Porter’s Top Ten List Songs,” the first of a 6-part series sponsored by Encore, will be featured for the first Brown Bag event on Friday at the Museum. It will be narrated by popular Chicago-based presenter, Charles Troy. Troy’s research, fueled by his skills and passions about the Hoosier composer led him to design a narrative about Cole Porter in a series of unique presentations that employ a seamless blend of recorded songs, original graphics, historic videos and vintage photos.
This is an amazing opportunity to experience an acclaimed musical theatre historian that has brought over 50 multi-media presentations to countless Chicago area and national audiences. Reviews of Charles Troy’s programs have noted that, “This man really does his homework!” and that his presentations are just a lot of “FUN!” Don’t miss this entertaining presentation at the Marshall County Museum, 123 N. Michigan St. in downtown Plymouth!
