Plymouth Community SchoolsPlymouth Community School Corporation’s Business Manager Kandi Tinkey has been recognized as the IASBO (Indiana Association of School Business Officials) Region 2 School Business Official of the Year!  She received the honor last month during the IASBO Annual Conference held in Fort Wayne.

The Indiana Association of School Business Officials divides the Hoosier state into ten regions. Annually each region decides via a member vote, which of its members will receive each category award.

PCSC_Kandi TinkeyTinkey has worked for the Plymouth Community School Corporation for 20 years. She received an associate’s degree in accounting from Brown Mackie College.

The Indiana Association of School Business Officials is a professional organization founded in 1946 that promotes the school business management profession. Individuals involved in the Association are responsible for the following activities in Indiana’s public schools: finance, accounting, budgeting, auditing, purchasing, maintenance and operations, human resources, facility planning, risk management, cash management, food nutrition, technology, and transportation.

IASBO currently has 1,139 active members representing 95 percent of Indiana’s public school corporations.

A 17-member Board of Directors governs the IASBO. The Board sets policy, approves an annual budget, and employs the IASBO Executive Director, Director of Professional Development and a Member Services Administrator.
