Abraham Lincoln Danny Russell 2015Mark your calendars!!!  July 1st a very special visitor is coming to Miller’s Assisted Living at 625 Oakhill Avenue in Plymouth.  This is someone you’ve probably always wanted to meet!  YES!!  Abraham Lincoln, also known as  Danny Russell, will make an appearance in Plymouth and share his life story titled “Abraham Lincoln: From Log Cabin to the White House”.

This is a perfect opportunity for those of you who were not able to see Lincoln at the 2015 Yellow River Festival.  It is also a great opportunity for grandparents to bring their grandkids out to a free fun and educational program that you can experience together.

Danny Russell is a proud lifetime member of the Association of Lincoln Presenters. Lincoln is a fascinating and important figure in early Indiana and American history.  His enduring appeal is evident in Russell’s portrayal which covers all notable aspects of his life from his Hoosier boyhood years (age 7-21) to his extraordinary accomplishments in the White House.  Alternately hilarious and heartbreaking, Russell’s performance concludes with stirring renditions of the Gettysburg Address and portions of Lincoln’s Second Inaugural Address.  Following his program Russell will answer questions from members of the audience, pose for photographs and will also show off his period Lincoln props.

This program is free and open to the public.  For more information call 574-936-9801 and ask for Anna Corbett or Cindy Flagg.  Remember:  Children must be accompanied by an adult.
