MugShot_Johnny Groves Jr.On Wednesday, April 22nd the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department with the assistance of the Starke County Sheriff’s Department, Indiana State Police and the Marshall County Prosecutors Office conducted a lengthy investigation involving manufacturing and dealing of methamphetamine, possession of a precursor and dumping of controlled substance waste.

Officer Jonathan Bryant with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department arrested 39 year old John L. Groves of Plymouth on two counts of manufacture/dealing of methamphetamine, two counts of possession of a precursor and two counts of dumping a controlled substance waste. Groves was transported to the Marshall County Jail and held on a $50,000 bond.

 

Listeners and readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
