Bremen_PoliceOn Wednesday, April 8th at 1:30 P.M. the Bremen Police Department conducted a routine traffic stop at State Road 331 and 2B Road on 27 year old James M. Schwartz of Etna Green. During the course of the traffic stop it was found that Mr. Schwartz was driving while suspended with a prior charge of the same offense and operating a motor vehicle without ever receiving a license and was taken into custody. He was transported to the Marshall County Jail and held on a $755 bond.

The next day on Thursday, April 9th at 7:16 A.M. the Bremen Police conducted a routine traffic stop at Bowen Avenue and North Street on 33 year old Cleadus Taylor of South Bend. During the traffic stop it was was found that Mr. Taylor was driving while suspended with a prior charge of the same offense and was taken into custody. He was transported and lodged at the Marshall County Jail and held on a $755 bond.

Thursday night about 10, while on a routine traffic stop at State Road 331 and Woodies Lane, 23 year old Jonathan R. Ferguson of Bremen was arrested by Officer Pippenger.  Ferguson was arrested for driving while suspended with a prior charge.

 

Listeners and readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
