Handcuffs-newWednesday afternoon about 1:30 Plymouth Police were dispatched to a single vehicle traffic accident at Walnut and Adams Streets in Plymouth.

Plymouth Police Officer Derek Workman conducted the investigation and found that 22 year old Alisa Cogswell of Plymouth was driving without ever receiving a license.

Cogswell was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail and booked in for operating a vehicle without receiving a license.  Her bond was set at $505 and was posted about 2 ½ hours later.  She is scheduled to appear in Marshall Superior Court II on April 28th.

 

Listeners and readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
