ArrestedTuesday evening Plymouth police offers were dispatched to the local Wal-Mart for a male subject who was drinking alcohol in the store.

Officer Matthew Emenhiser arrived on scene and made contact with 49 year old Mark W. Russo from South Bend who was sitting outside the store.

Mr. Russo appeared to be highly intoxicated and started yelling profanities. He was placed in custody and transported to the Plymouth hospital for jail clearance due to his intoxication level. While at the hospital Russo kicked the officer causing pain.

Mark Russo was transported to the Marshall County Jail and charged with battery to a law enforcement officer, disorderly conduct and public intoxication. His cash bond was set at $1,505 and he is scheduled to appear in Superior Court I on January 6, 2015.
