Culver SigneesCULVER – Five Culver Academies student-athletes declared their collegiate affiliations on Nov. 12, the first day of the early signing period for NCAA Division I and Division II schools.

Four Culver Military Aacademy lacrosse players signed. David Dilts, a defenseman from Carmel, Ind., will be going to Syracuse University; Spencer Secord, a midfielder from Toronto, will attend Georgetown; Dawson McKenzie, an attackman from Fergus, Ontario, will be attending Princeton; and Max Hood, another defenseman from Carmel, Ind., will attend Lindenwood University, a DII school in Saint Charles, Mo.

Krista Trefen, of Hotchkiss, Colo., a captain on the Culver Girls Academy rowing team, will be continuing her career at the United States Naval Academy.

The Ivy League and service academies do not require student-athletes to sign National Letters of Intent since they do not provide athletic scholarships.
