02/14/14 Operating While Intoxicated was the number one reason people were lodged in the Marshall County Jail in January.  Marshall County Sheriff, Tom Chamberlin released his monthly report of the Top Ten Offenses.  Continuing down the list you’ll find Failure to Appear, Marijuana, Theft, Operator Never Licensed and Probation Violations.  Other reasons included Domestic Battery, Possession of Meth/Cocaine, Disorderly Conduct and Holds for other Agencies. 

There were a total of 121 jail bookings in January with 84 being males and 24 females.  Officers with the Sheriff Department arrested the most with 64 and Plymouth Police arrested 22. 

County police officers responded to 86 traffic accidents last month.  71 of the accidents were property damage, 12 involved personal injury and 3 were fatalities.  Officers took 56 case reports, wrote 50 citations, served 526 civil process papers and received 595.
