02/10/14 Ancilla’s Student Government Association hosted a blood drive through the American Red Cross on Tuesday, February 4th..

SGA Faculty Advisor, Jill Neidlinger, along with President Amanda Amstutz and many student volunteers helped prepare and organize the event. Students, faculty, and staff turned out to donate. 21 volunteers offered to donate and 17 had successful donations.

“We were happy with today’s turn out especially considering the winter weather warning.  The Ancilla community is very generous,” said Jill Neidlinger, Assistant Professor of Math and Developmental Studies at Ancilla College, “SGA was excited to take this on and we hope to see even more donations for our next event in April.”

The event was held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in room 231 on the campus.  April’s event will be in the same room but the hours will be adjusted to 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. That date is Wednesday, April 2nd.
