Here are the results from this weekend’s Eastside Memorial Day Tournament.

On Friday night, May 24 the boys traveled to South Bend Eastside for the first game of their Memorial Day Tournament.  Plymouth beat a very good team called the Land Sharks 8 to 1.  Cam Dennie was the winning pitcher.   Cole Filson came in and pitched two great innings and Ezra Winkle finished it up with two gret innings of pitching himself.  Between the three pitchers they had twelve strike outs in six innings.

Clay Hilliard had two hits and an RBI.

Cam Dennie had a homerun and two RBI’s.

Evan Ziegler had two RBI’s.

Brady Hatfield had a bi hit with two RBI’s.

On Saturday, May 25 the boys traveled back to South Bend Eastside to play their second game of pool play.  They beat St. John’s with a score of 5-4.  Ezra Winkle was the winning pitcher.

Evan Zeigler, Clay Hilliard, Cole Filson and Ezra Winkle each had a hit.

Tim Tremaine had two hits.

Cam Dennie had two hits with a game winning home run.

On Sunday, May 26th the boys first played Hammond for a chance to play in the championship game.  Cam Dennie was the winning pitcher.
Cole Filson had a hit.

Cam Dennie had two home runs and two RBI’s.

Ezra Winkle had two hits, one a home run.

Austin Arriaga had a home run and two RBI’s.

We won 7-6 to play for the championship against Crown Point.

Next, the boys played a very good Crown Point team.  Cam Dennie was the losing pitcher and he also had our only two hits for the game.  We got beat but never gave up.

They played four really good teams and came out with a record of 3-1.  Coach Caban says, ” I am proud of our kids and how they played this weekend!”

The boys travel to Wawasee on Wednesday and then travel to Flora for a tournament this weekend.
