04/03/13 The United Way of Marshall County (UWMC) will host a free Campaign Volunteer & Donor Recognition Event on Thursday, April 4th at the Plymouth Country Club from 5:30 to 9 p.m. The event will be held in conjunction with the Annual Meeting. During a brief meeting, the United Way will honor a retiring board member as well as elect officers and new board members. UWMC President Francis Ellert will review the past year’s challenges and successes and allocations for 2013 will be announced.
This event also gives the United Way an opportunity to thank the volunteers, donors and Campaign Chairs, the ‘Fab 5’, comprised of the team of Bill Davis, Dave Goebel, Scott Graybill, John Oliver III and Lance Overmyer. It provides an opportunity to thank the many businesses and individuals who donated as well. Outstanding contributors to the campaign will receive awards including #1 Giver (overall largest amount of money contributed). New this year, will be additional awards reflecting outstanding efforts of companies throughout all of Marshall County.
Both silent and live auctions will take place to kick off the 2013 campaign. There is no cost for the event. Hors d‘oeuvres will be provided and a cash bar will be available.
