06/19/12 On Saturday, June 16th at 2:49pm, The Marshall County Police Department along with Plymouth Fire Department, Plymouth EMS and Bourbon Fire Department responded to a one vehicle motorcycle accident at the on ramp of US 30 westbound to US 31 northbound. While on the ramp, the driver of the motorcycle, Harold Dawson 63, of Niles, Michigan struck a loose piece of material in the roadway and lost control of his motorcycle. Dawson traveled across the grassy section on the west side of the on ramp and then slid across the northbound lanes of US 31 before coming to rest in the grassy median facing east. Witnesses who were riding behind Dawson state that they saw him hit a black tubular piece of material just before losing control of the motorcycle. Dawson was airlifted from the scene with internal injuries.
