03/12/12 On Friday March 2nd, Marshall County Police, LaPaz EMS and the LaPaz Fire Department were dispatched to the 2,000 Block of US 31, just south of LaPaz in reference to an unknown female that had entered an occupied residence and had appeared to be under the influence. Upon arrival officers found the 22 year old female subject who was conscious but incoherent in the master bedroom of the residence. From evidence at the scene it was believed that the female subject was highly intoxicated on an unknown controlled substance. She was transported to the Marshall County Jail where she was identified and admitted for medical treatment. Patrolman Nicholas Laffoon of the Marshall County Police Department filed formal charges in the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office. Charges are pending at this time.
