06/08/11 Each year, Ford Motor Company recognizes dealers who have raised their business to the highest levels of excellence among their peers, in their communities and, most importantly, for their customers. As quoted from the Ford website, “Whether they sell Fords or Lincolns, President’s Award recipients represent the best in automotive retailing.”
Oliver Ford Lincoln in Plymouth was awarded their eleventh such recognition of the last twelve years in a ceremony at the dealership on Friday, June 3rd. Mike O’Brien, Regional Manager the Detroit Region, presented a plaque to John Oliver, General Manager of Oliver Ford during the ceremony.
O’Brien noted that only ten percent of the 3800 dealers nationally achieve this status in any given year, and of that ten percent only 20% are repeat winners as is Oliver Ford, placing them in the top two percent of all dealers nationally.
“I really need to stress what an outstanding accomplishment this is, “ O’Brien announced to the gathered staff. “You’ve won the President’s Award eleven times! That clearly shows that you have taken care of your customers, not just on the service side but on the sales side as well. And you do that on a consistent basis. Based on feedback thus far in 2011, it sounds like we’ll be doing this again next year, too!”
Upon accepting the plaque, Oliver was quick to note that it wasn’t he who earned this award, but rather the people “back in service…at the front desk…in bookkeeping…in sales. These are the people who make the customer experience a rewarding one, start to finish, at Oliver Ford”, Oliver stated.
President’s Award distinction is awarded to Blue Oval Certified or Lincoln Mercury Elite Certified dealerships attaining superior performance reports in market share penetration and in customer evaluations of their overall sales and/or service experience and whether they would recommend the dealership to others.
