05/12/11 Second Friday events are starting again in downtown Plymouth with the first one this weekend.

This Friday, May 13th citizens are invited downtown to participate in the Second Friday event from 6 to 8 pm.  Activities will take place on Garro Street between the Marshall County Museum and Centier Bank.

The first event of the year will include live music with the band Alligator Blackbird.    Alligator Blackbird combines rock, reggae, folk, and pop influences to create a sound that can warm up any room.  Using acoustic guitars, base, ukulele, cajon (box drum) and other percussion, along with vocal harmonies and the dynamic/soulful voice of front-man Fabian Guzman, this three piece band can cover enough musical ground to satisfy just about any crowd.

Other activities include the ever popular Bounce House,  the Balloon Artist, and the Marshall County Extension office who will offer a place were kids can plate seeds, an agriculture display and a Master Garden on hand to answer questions.

All events are free due to the generosity of this month’s sponsors;   PNC Bank and the Extension Office.
