01/14/10 This week members of the Plymouth Common Council approved an ordinance amendment for the Code of Ordinances.

The amendment includes adding three additional permit fees that will effect commercial construction.  The change creates a $100 fee for a foundation permit, a $40 fee for the replacement of bulk storage tanks, piping and dispensing equipment for commercial fuel stations and the creation of a permit for parking lots ranging from $100 to $300.

The other thing this ordinance amendment does is removes the premium on the cost of building permits for construction outside the city limits but within the 2 mile jurisdiction.  Just a few years ago the decision had been made to double permit fees for those in the two mile.  This amendment removes the additional cost.

This new amendment will go into effect 90 days after publication.

Council members reappointed Shawn Grobe and Don Wendel to sit on the Redevelopment Commission while Mayor Senter reappointed Dan Tyree, Tom Pedavoli and Don Ecker.

Council members Don Gardner and Mike Delp submitted their annual Uniform Conflict of Interest Statements.
