01/04/11 On Friday, December 31st at 3:26 PM Officer Shanna Gilmer with Plymouth Police Department responded to the Plymouth Wal-Mart in reference to a male shoplifter. Arriving on the scene Officer Gilmer arrested 21 year old Matthew R. Woods of Person Place on theft charge. He was also found to be in possession of marijuana. Woods was transported to the Marshall County Jail and booked in with a bond set at $1,000. He was released at 10:30 PM after posting his cash bond.
On Saturday, January 1st at 12:29 AM Officer Wally Derifield conducted a traffic stop at North Michigan and 7B Road. The driver, 72 year old John Williams of 4A Road was found to be operating while intoxicated. He was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail where he was booked in. The bond was set at $1,000. Williams was released at 10:25 PM Saturday after posting his cash bond.
Short time later at 1:09 AM Saturday Officer Gary Cleveland responded to Brothers Night Club located at 414 West LaPorte Street in reference to an intoxicated male refusing to leave the establishment. After further investigation the male subject was identified as 24 year old Marco Salinas of Polk Street. Mr. Salinas was arrested on public intoxication charges along with trespassing charges. He was transported to the Marshall County Jail and held with a bond set at $750. Salinas was released on Monday, January 3rd at 1:19 AM on no judicial review.
Saturday afternoon at 2:33 PM Officer Jason Dobbins conducted a traffic stop on 52 Year old Jean M. Swygart of Madison Street. He was found to have an active warrant through Marshall County for failure to appear on probation violation charges. Mr. Swygart was transported to the Marshall County Jail and booked in without bond.
Then at 8:30 PM Saturday Officer Gilmer responded to the Plymouth Wal-Mart in reference to 20 year old Sara J. Johnson who had been detained for shoplifting. Johnson was transported to the Marshall County Jail and booked for theft with a $1,000 bond.
