11/25/10 Plymouth Street Superintendent Jim Marquardt announced the Holiday Trash Schedule for citizens within the city limits.

Allied was will be closed on Thursday, November 24the to allow their employees to enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday with their families and friends. Therefore, Thursday’s pick-up will be moved to Friday, November 26th.

Please remember that your trash and recycling are to be placed at the curb for pick-up by 6 a.m.  The trash tote lid must be closed; any items overflowing the tote may fall off and will cause the truck driver to pass up the tote for collection.  Any items placed outside of the regular trash tote will not be picked-up without a prior appointment that is to be set up with the Allied Waste office.

Another note for recycling, the recycling truck will take boxes if they are broken down and put with your recycling bin.

City employees will continue collecting yard waste on Mondays and Fridays weather permitting.  Yard waste containers that are too heavy cause too many injuries.  The Street Superintendent asks that you use multiple cans.  Yard waste will now include leaves since the city has completed they leaf vacuuming. Leaves should be bagged and left at the curb with your other yard waste.
