11/05/10  At 2 a.m. on November 7th, groggy Hoosiers will turn their clocks back one hour, marking the end of Daylight Saving Time (DST).

The federal law that established “daylight time” in the United States changed a couple of years ago. From 1986 to 2006 the time change was the first Sunday in April to the last Sunday in October, but in 2007, it was changed to observe DST from the second Sunday in March to the first Sunday in November, adding about a month to daylight saving time.

In April 2005 Indiana passed a law agreeing to observe daylight saving time.

Residents in Indiana should turn their clocks back one hour before they go to bed on Saturday night.
