09/27/10 Amramp, the newest division of Pathfinder Services has partnered with Rebuilding Together in Plymouth Indiana for their non profit efforts at comprehensive human and community development.
Rebuilding Together applied for a grant from their community foundation to purchase ramp materials to install a ramp for a Plymouth family and received the grant. The team worked to build a custom playhouse which they raffled at the Blueberry Festival in Plymouth to raise additional funds to build a ramp.
Rebuilding Together’s install team of Larry Welsh, Dean Byer, and Matthew Smith donated their time to install the ramp. This is the second ramp the team from Rebuilding Together has installed for Amramp with plans of helping many more as resources allow.
“We are extremely grateful for our partnership with Rebuilding Together, and the time they dedicate to the community through the mission of Amramp,” stated Ronda Smelser, Regional Sales Coordinator for Amramp. “We are constantly looking for partners like Rebuilding Together throughout Northern Indiana to help bring these success stories to additional counties throughout the State,” Smelser concluded. “Accessibility is something everyone deserves regardless if they can afford it or not.”
Amramp allows for families and businesses to rent or purchase an ADA compliant, low cost, modular ramp, featuring a patented non-slip ramp surface. The unique, perforated steel mesh ramp surface has an open pattern, allowing moisture to drain, reducing the possibility of a slippery ice surface or mold build-up.
Amramp offers free home evaluations and meets with each client to custom design the ramp. All of the ramps are installed by trained Amramp specialists. Ramps are available in days, not weeks or months, and most installations take less than a day.
