PLYMOUTH – Plymouth’s Post 27 Diamond Spyders fell just short of the championship game of their Patriot Tourney as Highland  came from behind to plate four seventh inning runs in moving on to Sunday afternoon’s title game by a 6-4 score.

Outstanding pitching was the name of the game for the entire tournament for Post 27 as Bailey Clark led off with a two hit shutout in Thursday night’s opener with Ajax, followed by Clayton Adamson throwing four innings of no hit ball against Ohio White House Post 380, and Justin Gierlowski adding a one hit shut out.

Kevin Hawley scattered nine hits in Sunday’s contest allowing just two runs before giving way to Tyler LaFollette in relief.

Post 27 travels to Minnesota on Thursday to compete in the Gopher Classic in Minnetonka.
