Reis Yoder 87

Micah Calhoun 84

Using a modified team format (best 4 scores of the 5 per hole) scoring the Pilgrims managed a 327 – ten shots better than regular stroke scoring.

Playing as a five-some each of the players got a chance to play along side their teammates – something they never get to do in regular stroke play.  This format was a very positive experience for our players today as it helped keep our guys competing against the other schools as a unified unit.

Today was a good measuring stick for conference play and the post season run.  The only NLC team or Sectional foe to finish better than us was Warsaw.

The Plymouth JV competed in the Westville Invitational on Saturday at Legacy Hills in Laporte.  Playing in a tournament featuring a mix of varsity squads (small schools) and JV squads (large schools) our guys finished 4th (357).  Curtis Smith was team Medalist with a career best 86.  9 – Hudson Yoder 9010 – Ricky Cooper 909 – Grant Clady 919 – Roger Karr 92

NLC round robin play concludes this week with matches Tuesday at McCormick Creek (Northwood & Wawasee) and Thursday at Maplecrest (Goshen).
