11/11/10 Each year the call goes out: “Can we count on you?” Each year, the answer is a resounding “YES!” And this year is no different.
Trish James, from Kabelin Ace Hardware, understands that a coat may be warm, but without pockets or gloves, there are going to be a lot of cold hands in Marshall County this winter. That’s why she dropped off 250 pairs of gloves to Oliver Ford Wednesday afternoon — another generous donation in the effort to help those most in need stay warm.
Collection of gently used coats for children and adults (men and women) continues at Oliver Ford, The Plymouth Pilot, and WTCA Radio through this Saturday, November 13th.
The gloves from Kaeblin’s will be given away, along with collected coats, cleaned by Price’s Village Valet Cleaners, at the “Warm Up Marshall County” Coat Drive on November 20th and 21st at the Armory in Plymouth. There are no requirements for proof of need, but because of the demand, there will be a limit on the number of coats to one coat per person present. So if you have several children in need, please have them in attendance so that a good fit can be guaranteed.
