PHS Tennis Senior, Gabe Vervynkt beat North Judson’s Thomas Simon 7-5, 7-5. Simon was previously undefeated throughout the season. Gabe advances to the individual Regional next weekend at Laporte. This will be the final step before the state finals, due to no semi-state competitons in the individual tournaments. Match time and opponent have yet to be determined.
Since 1991, Plymouth has had 9 boys doubles teams advance to individual regional round of the individual state tournament with 8 of those teams qualifying for the state finals weekend.
Gabe is the first Plymouth singles player to advance to the regional round of the tournament during this time. Congrats to Gabe!
