01/20/12 Thursday, Congressman Joe Donnelly announced that he recently nominated 22 northern Indiana students for admission into the United States service academies for the class of 2016.
“I’m pleased that each year so many young people from north central Indiana consider attending our nation’s prestigious service academies,” said Donnelly. “It is an honor to have the opportunity to nominate these 22 outstanding candidates because the U.S. service academies provide young men and women with a top-quality college education while preparing them for successful careers as officers in the military. We are extraordinarily grateful to the men and women in the Armed Forces, and thank you to these young men and women for considering service to our country.”

Donnelly based his nominations on outstanding academic achievement, leadership skills, and commitment to a career in the Armed Forces.
