Senator Stacey Donato said in a recent release, “Hoosiers across the state will see improvements to broadband access through the Next Level Connections Broadband Grant Program. Our area is receiving a total of $36 million, which will provide dependable internet service to those who need it most.”  

In Senate District 18, the following providers were awarded grants:

  • AT&T
    AT&T received a grant to expand broadband access to 608 households and 117 businesses in Clinton, Grant, Hendricks, Miami and St. Joseph counties.
  • Comcast
    Comcast received three grants to expand broadband access to 1,495 households and 720 businesses in Carroll, Cass, Marshall and Starke counties.
  • Heartland REMC
    Heartland REMC received a grant to expand broadband access to 2,215 households and 110 businesses in Huntington, Miami and Wabash counties.
  • Kosciusko Connect
    Kosciusko Connect received a grant to expand broadband access to 1,159 households and 132 businesses in Fulton, Kosciusko, Wabash and Whitley counties.
  • LigTel Communications
    LigTel Communications received a grant to expand broadband access to 559 households and 122 businesses in Kosciusko, Noble and Whitley counties.
  • Marshall County Fiber
    Marshall County Fiber received three grants to expand broadband access to 1,123 households and 270 businesses in Fulton, Marshall, Pulaski and Starke counties.
  • Miami-Cass REMC
    Miami-Cass REMC received two grants to expand broadband access to 421 households and 354 businesses in Carroll, Cass, Miami and White counties.
  • Mulberry Telecommunications
    Mulberry Telecommunications received a grant to expand broadband access to 106 households and 45 businesses in Carroll and Clinton counties.
  • RTC Communications
    RTC Communications received six grants to expand broadband access to 3,159 households and 45 businesses in Cass, Fulton, Kosciusko, Marshall, Miami, Pulaski and Tippecanoe counties.
  • Yeoman Telephone Company
    Yeoman Telephone Company received a grant to expand broadband access to 23 households and 16 businesses in Carroll County.

Senator Donato Said, “I am very excited to see so many projects in Senate District 18 receive grants through this program. Broadband access continues to be an important issue for our communities, and though I believe we have more work to do in bringing broadband to the rural areas of our state, I look forward to watching the development this funding encourages.”
