ArrestedMarshall County Sheriff`s Department Deputy Bennett conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of US 31 and 9A Road. The driver was identified as a juvenile who was unlicensed. The passenger of the vehicle identified as 25 year old, Aqondius Moss of South Bend was found to have active warrants for his arrest and was taken into custody.
During the course of the traffic stop suspected drugs were located. Moss was transported to the Marshall County Jail and held on charges of Possession of Cocaine or a Narcotic Drug, Possession of a Synthetic Drug or Lookalike Substance, and Possession of Marijuana.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
