auto_theftA 30 year old man from Chicago was lodged in the Marshall County Jail as the second suspect in the armed robbery and auto theft at the LifePlex in Plymouth on Wednesday.

About 3:30 in the afternoon a black male approached the unnamed victim in the parking lot of the LifePlex, displayed a weapon and stole his vehicle.

Police have determined that 30 year old Avory Lorenz Shearer had been driving a stolen vehicle on US 30 east bound when it was abandoned with a flat tire on US 30 just east of Pioneer.

Avory Shearer was the passenger in second stolen vehicle.  He was dropped off on the side of the road in Warsaw near Meijer Drive and taken into custody.  Avory Shearer was transported to the Marshall County Jail on Wednesday evening and booked in for Receiving Unidentified Property and held on a $2,250 cash bond. A report will be filed with the Marshall County Prosecutor for review of charges on both subjects, Avory Shearer and Clarence Shearer of Fort Wayne.
