The Marshall County Coroner received word of a motor vehicle crash on US 31 about a quarter mile south of US 6. The crash happened about 2:45 P.M. There were two vehicles involved. It appears vehicle 1 entered onto US31 from the on ramp from US6 to travel southbound. As vehicle 1 entered US 31 struck vehicle 2 in the right front, causing vehicle 1 to lose control and roll over multiple times.
The occupants of vehicle 2 were not injured; the driver of vehicle 1 was seriously injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. Rebecca J. Lee, age 54, of Argos was the driver of vehicle 1.
Indiana State Police is covering the crash investigation, assisted by the Marshall County Sheriff’s Dept., Lapaz Fire and EMS, and the Marshall County Coroner’s Office, Coroner John Grolich, and Deputy Coroner John Lampkins, and INDOT.
