outingPLYMOUTH –  On Friday July 8th, 2016, the Pretty Lake Golf Club was the host for The 8th Annual Craig Woolfington Memorial Golf Outing.   It was a beautiful day with 39 teams and over 160 golfers participating.  Trina Hawley Black and Kate ( Craig’s Daughter ) were amongst the golfers who participated.
The Event’s major sponsors included The Zone, (Rick and Barb Miller) Plymouth Family Dentistry, (Nicole Christy) Stay Positive Foundation,(Eric Day) Lake City Bank,(Carol Brown and Dale Cramer), Dr. Robert Lindsey, Oliver Ford Lincoln Mercury and Ball Systems (Andy Caine and Pat Turley).  Over 70 other local and area sponsors donated to help make the outing a tremendous success.  A special thanks to Madeline Johns for opening up her house and yard for the many golfers and guests on the course to enjoy.
Awards and prizes were given for the longest drive, longest putt and closest to the pin.  The winner of the 55 inch  television raffle donated by Nicole Christy was Mark Wojda.  Prize packages were awarded for the top three teams in the outing.  Third place team was Pat Turley, Todd Severson, Ernie Kelly, Jim Miner.  The second place team was Evan Parkhurst, Nate Kolter, Nick Bayley and Trent Briles.  The first place team was Jim Shay, Kevin Shay, John Oliver Jr. and Dave Combs.  Congratulations to all the winners on the day
The Special Day was topped off by the generosity of the golfers which included over $350 donated and and collected for The Bob Pickell Scholarship. The Tony Plothow and the Mark Lindsey Families along with Mike and Jane Woolfington would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Pretty Lake Golf Club (Chris Tillman and Doug Stidham, the over 160 golfers who participated, close friends and family who volunteered and the Plymouth Community and Marshall County area businesses and families who helped make this year’s Craig Woolfington Memorial Golf Outing a huge success.
