FORT WAYNE, IN – The Charger men’s basketball team defeated the Indiana Institute of Technology JV Warriors on Tuesday night, 97-54, making their current record 3-3.

 

Ancilla took control of the game right away, pulling a 14 point lead heading into halftime, 54-30. Returning in the second half, the Chargers were able to continue that momentum to capture a 43 point victory.

 

Alex Henn, from LaPorte, led the Chargers in scoring for the night with 20 of the team’s 97 points. Sophomore Travon Brackett (15) and freshmen Don’Tayon Young (14) and Anderson McCoy (11) put up a combined 40 points for the Chargers.

 

“We shared the ball and shot the ball well tonight,” said head coach Aaron Butcher. “We got off to a hot start offensively which allowed us to build a lead.”

 

Ancilla will be on the road Thursday night in Berrien Springs, MI to face off against Andrews University. Game time is set for 7:30p.m. The Chargers will return home on Tuesday, December 1st in a game against St. Francis University JV. Tip-off is 7:00p.m.
