DONALDSON, IN – The Lady Charger soccer team played a tough game against Michigan Community College Athletic Association (MCCAA) rivals Lake Michigan College on the road Wednesday night losing 9-1.

Ancilla freshman Corri Martin, Anita Garza and Bianca Maxwell put up one shot each in a tough game against the Red Hawks, who put up 16 shots for the game. Maxwell scored the game goal for the Chargers with an assist from freshman Karen Zuniga during the second half of the game. Emily Rogers and Maxwell served as goal keepers for the game having six and three saves respectively.

Coach Justin Crew commented on the game, “We saw some overall team improvements. While the outcome didn’t quite go in our favor, we were able to create more opportunities this game than last. The game score is not a full reflection of the overall game.”

The Lady Chargers will return home Saturday, September 12th and Sunday, September, 13th for a weekend face off against Regional contenders Cincinnati State Technical and Community College and Owens Community College. Game time is set for 1:00p.m. Saturday and 2:00p.m. Sunday.
