MartinSigning2 (2)PLYMOUTH, IN – Corrinne Martin, a 2015 graduate of Clawson High School, recently signed her Letter of Intent to cheer and her National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Letter of Intent to play soccer at Ancilla College.

Martin, a base and flyer at Clawson, was a four year varsity award recipient for the Trojans for both the sideline and competitive season. Under head coach Alanna Stockley, the Clawson Competitive Cheer Team qualified for the 2014-15 Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) District Tournament and Martin was named All-Academic in both sideline and competitive season her senior year. During her senior year, she was also named to the Macomb Area Conference – Blue Division All-Conference team.

“Corri is an outstanding athlete. Her natural cheerleading ability and immense body control, allows her to excel in multiple stunting positions as well as tumbling,” commented Charger Cheer Coach Kaylee King. “She has a positive, hard-working attitude and a desire to learn. She will be a great addition to the 2015 Charger Cheer Team.”

Soccer has also been a huge part of Martin’s high school career over the past four years. She was a four year varsity award recipient at Clawson and helped lead her to team to the MHSAA District Tournament. Martin played midfield for the Trojans and was named to the MHSAA All-District team her junior and senior year.

“I am excited to have Corri joining our soccer family,” remarked Ancilla College Women’s Soccer Head Coach Justin Crew. “She has both the physical and mental qualities you look for in an athlete. I expect Corri to help us out right away.”

Corrinne is the daughter of Marcy Martin from Clawson, Michigan.
