Open for BusinessThis month, Indiana was ranked first in the Midwest and sixth nationwide as the best place to do business by Chief Executive Magazine. State Senator, Randy Head said, “Indiana stands out as the only Midwestern state ranked in the top 10.

The magazine’s “Best & Worst States For Business” ranking is based on surveys of more than 500 CEOs. According to Chief Executive, the results of the 11th annual survey show that CEOs favor states with progressive business development programs, low taxes and a quality living environment.

Senator Head said, “Indiana has worked to create a pro-growth economic environment by balancing our state budget, cutting taxes for households and employers, investing in infrastructure, and seeking to improve our schools so the next generation of Hoosiers has the skills necessary for career success.” The business community’s continued recognition of Indiana shows these efforts are paying dividends.
