The Indiana Department of Transportation anticipates that work to replace the failed culvert on U.S. 30 in the westbound lanes will be complete within the next two days and the westbound lanes will be reopened.

This is a full pipe repair across the entire roadway so when the westbound lanes are reopened, the eastbound lanes of U.S. 30 will be closed in the same area. Replacing the culvert in the eastbound lanes is expected to begin as soon as Thursday, July 15 and will take approximately two weeks.

Motorists will need to seek an alternate route. The official detour will continue to follow State Road 19, State Road 10 and State Road 331 when the road closure switches to the eastbound lanes.
