Lions edge Panthers
SOUTH BEND – In an incredibly tough NIC South Division matchup, the Bremen Lions claimed victory over the SB Washington Panthers on the final kick of the PK shootout following a deadlock in the two overtime periods. Junior Alex Alvarado slotted home the winning PK after scoring a hat trick during regulation for the Lions. Junior GK Dominic Snook took the net for the PKs and blocked the first two Panther shots to give the Lions the advantage.
Senior Collin Moren scored and added two assists for the Lions while senior Michael Ramirez, junior Al Byrd, and sophomore Grant Devine scored in the shootout. Byrd also added an assist. Sophomore Emmanuel Garcia had seven saves on the night for the Lions.
