On Monday, July 13th at 11:13 P.M. while Marshall County Sheriff’s Deputy Gorny was patrolling the area of US 31 Southbound, Deputy Gorny observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. A traffic stop was conducted on this vehicle with the driver being identified as 68 year old, Mark Vincent of Rochester. Vincent was found to be in Possession of Methamphetamine and Marijuana and was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail with bond set at $1,505.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
